Bored of traditional blanket designs and looking for something different? Try crochet mosaic blankets because they are so much more interesting!

Although you may think it’s hard to do, the technique is not that difficult to comprehend. There are two types of mosaic crochet – overlay and inset mosaic crochet. Both of them use basic crochet stitches, but differ in terms of their placement and color changes.

The visual effect and texture are so worth the effort. Soft but dense fabric is warm and cozy therefore making it ideal for chilly evenings.

You can easily adjust mosaic crochet patterns to make either a small baby blanket or a large bedspread. The mosaic design is so attractive that it will also be great as a wall hanging. These blankets are beautiful in any color and are perfect gifts for all occasions.
