If you’ve never knitted a sweater before, start with vests. They work up quicker, but the shape of the body is often identical to the pullover’s. This way, you’ll gain more confidence in knitting and make a truly wonderful kids’ garment. As you can see, the classic brown wool looks lovely, but don’t limit yourself – go for stripes, colors, or embroidery if you like.
